πŸ‘‰ Getting Started!

Welcome to Web Development Basics Course

Let’s get started!

We are excited that you are here and ready to learn Fundamentals of Web Development development. With Deep Dive Learning Academy’s thorough curriculum and personal mentorship sessions, we will be with you every step of the way towards achieving your career goals.

This course is designed to be flexible enough to fit into your full time or part time schedule. Full-time students can accelerate their learning with more mentor guidance, whereas part-time students benefit from a more manageable work-life balance. If you’re doing a full-time course, you can switch to a part-time schedule at any time during the program.

Over the course of the next few weeks, you will learn the basic building blocks of web development – JavaScript, HTML and CSS. Our curriculum is designed for learners at all levels, including those with no prior web development knowledge. This course will also prepare you for the Advanced Web Development Topics covered in our Coding Bootcamps.

Each Week has checkpoints and you will be working through each of them in order and marking them complete once finished. This ensures that you remain laser-focused towards completing just one task at any given point.

We make every effort to keep each Checkpoint concise and interesting so that there is never a dull moment throughout the entire curriculum.

Checkpoints are composed of one or more tasks including:

  • Readings
  • Coding Exercises
  • Video Tutorials
  • Quizzes
  • Graded Assignments

Each task includes detailed instructions and you can also reach out to your personal mentor for the assistance. Rest assured that you will be given the tools to succeed every step of the way!

We bring you the best and most concise content from some of the best resources around the web and study articles. Our goal is not to re-invent the wheel but to present you with whatever is the best for you to learn and for your career. We take the accountability of your success and provide you support through one-on-one mentorship. We will motivate you to stay on your path until you get there!

At the end of each topic, you will also find a Q&A section where we have included some of the most probable questions you may be asked during your technical interviews in the real world. This is a great resource to fill in the knowledge gaps on the technology you just learned. We recommend that you take around 1-2 hours to skim through the questions and their corresponding answers. Although it is important that you are knowledgeable of the answers to these questions, because they are rarely used in practice, knowing the surface-level solutions of those topics will suffice. Throughout the course of your bootcamp, your mentor will provide you with more details in this area.

In the beginning weeks, we use Repl.it as a online coding editor within our curriculum content. It is one of the best coding editor which lets to practice the coding without needing you to install editor and set up your environment.

On any learning platform, nothing beats One-on-One Coaching! Therefore, you will be meeting with your mentor each week. We encourage you to have your questions ready so you can get the most out of your mentor sessions. There will be detailed instructions below on how to schedule your mentor calls. Our mentors will ensure that all of your questions are answered and also help you with understanding some of the more advanced topics. On occasion, they will also push you so you can become the best version of yourself!
